Hello and welcome to SAN and the Cambodian Cuisine. Here on this blog the team at SAN restaurant and I, Alexia, will do our very best to bring Cambodian cuisine from the dark age into the information age. As you might have already discovered, there aren’t a lot of information out there about Khmer food. In effect most people don’t even know that this unique cuisine exists. I mean everyone just think that Cambodian food is the same as Vietnamese and Thai. The answer to that are yes and a big NO.  Our cuisine is similar to both Thai and Vietnamese but at same time it’s very different. After all we are neighbours and of course similarity is bound to occur.

I must warn you though that the team and I are no expert on this particular subject and advice you to take our word with a grain of salt. We are just a small group of Cambodians passionate about Khmer food and would like to share the world what we know. 

So, my dear Khmer food enthusiasts, welcome to SAN and the Cambodian cuisine. Do brows through our blog, and we hope you learn something new in the process.
